Break the stigma everyday, not just on #bellletstalk day 👏🏽👏🏽 therapists are regular people to who also go to therapy. We do not have all the answers, we do not sit there and judge you or aim to give you advice, think that we know what’s best for your life, or reprimand you for your decision making. Instead, therapists guide you and support you through your experiences. 🧠Humans are complex beings, we are not just primal and operating from the limbic system (fight-flight-freeze), the prefrontal regions of our brain are also involved in how we relate to others, how we are able to communicate our wants and needs, experience passions, dreams and desires AND we have the ability to verbally articulate our experiences. It’s normal to have emotions, it’s good to express them in a healthy way.

We have over 80,000 thoughts a day… about 95% of these thoughts are the same… this 95% of thoughts is typically time spent in the subconscious mind… meaning that we are living 95% of our days re-living our traumas, past experiences, and hardwired beliefs that we acquired at a young age.

FUN FACTS: 1)This week was the most back-to-back sessions that my private practice has seen to date🎉And I loved every second of guiding and supporting everyone. 💃🏽2) DID YOU KNOW: that most therapists have some sort of “cleansing ritual” between clients and between sessions and their personal life? This helps therapists hold space for a different person with different experiences AND it helps to move any potential vicarious trauma through the body, AND it helps to compartmentalize & create work-life boundaries. 👏🏽Some therapists wash their hands in between to symbolize cleansing energy, some listen to music, go for a walk, stretch, you name it! I think that choreographing dances is my ritual 😂💃🏽💃🏽
YES or NO?!👇🏽do you think the moon has an influence on our mood 🤔 I mean, it creates tides soooo it’s pretty powerful. I noticed a sense of incessant overwhelm in myself even though I’m feeling supported by nourishment, self care practices, movement, fun, relationships, & career (maybe just not replenished by sleep/rest😅) but decided to ask Alexa wtf is going on. What do you think about the moon??
How well do you know you?? The you without all of the conditioning and programming? The you without the attachment sounds and codependency? The core you, the aligned you, the one that lives with integrity, purpose, passion, and values??💃🏽💃🏽
